Susie and Alex: Cliveden House

I have seen many beautfiul venues over the years, and Cliveden was without a daoubt one of the most beautiful of them all. I eagerly look forward to the next time I will be visiting the luxurious Cliveden House Hotel and hope to shoon photograph in their French Dining Room again. Just as a little part of the hotel’s history: “On a visit to Paris in 1897, William Waldorf Astor was shown the gilded panelling in Madame de Pompadour’s 18th century dining room at the Chateau d’Asnieres. Realising the proportions exactly matched those of the dining room at Cliveden he bought the panelling, table and chairs, then had the entire room reconstructed in his home.” (source
